The topic of taxes is a critical aspect of government policy and public finance around the world. Recent trends show increasing debates on tax reform, wealth distribution, and social equity. Petitions cover a wide range of issues, from demanding fair taxation for the wealthy to calls for corporate tax accountability. One petition gaining traction urges governments to close tax loopholes that allow big corporations to evade taxes, impacting public services and economic stability. Another petition highlights the need for progressive taxation to address income inequality and fund essential services. By engaging with these petitions, individuals can advocate for a fairer tax system and hold governments and corporations accountable for their financial responsibilities. Join the movement for tax justice and contribute to shaping a more equitable society for all.

Republicans want to talk about less government intervention and then do things like this. America isn't a Christian nation. It is a melting pot of cultures and religious beliefs. They need to stop forcing their beliefs on everyone else. We have the first amendment for a reason.
We don’t NEED The Ten Commandments posted in classrooms! We need support in helping our students become critical thinkers. Special needs students need resources. Our students and their families need
counselors and social workers. Teachers and support personnel need decent living wages!
25% increase is 25% too much, Fayette is the second poorest county in PA, most people live paycheck to paycheck as it is, this is an unconscionable increase driven by greed and not reasonable neccessities. This decision needs to be rolled back.
These taxes are not fair and have never been fair! A person works all of their life, for what? To retire and get taxed out of their home that they have worked and paid for with their hard earned money. No one else, not the county, or the school system, have contributed a cent toward that home. These taxes are nothing but a penalty for working people who were fortunate enough to be able to purchase a home, just to have it all taken away because those in power just keep taxing you out of it. This burden needs to be taken away from the home owner and replaced with a fair tax that will be shared by everyone, not just by a chosen few!
This increase will affect the already struggling Fayette County. Take a look around- residents in the city can’t even pay their trash bills! Community residents are struggling to keep groceries on the table. This is a total SMACK IN THE FACE to working families struggling to survive! Honestly, it’s a smack in he face to every resident of Fayette county!
Ridiculous to raise the taxes in one of the poorest county’s in the state. Most of the constituents of Fayette county are having a hard time paying their bills now and this county doesn’t offer half of the opportunities for our residents and children like the Westmoreland County does for their families.
No jobs, high crime rates, but we have a sparkly new prison.
Who ever supports this won’t be in office next term💯🤌🏼
I am a 17 year old who graduated a year early unprepared with a low goa due to the school. The only thing that brought me joy was my counties archery team. But because I wasn't apart of the school I couldn't be on the team. I got to sit and watch from the sidelines as my friends got to do everything. I am grateful to still do the sport but I just wanted to be on the team
This is important because if students are homeschooled, they often end up spending hours working on the computer. They must participate in activities that keep them active, and sports are an excellent way to do this. Engaging in sports not only encourages physical activity but also promotes social interaction with others, which is essential for young children. I’m concerned that if homeschooled kids are sitting for extended periods, it may lead to issues such as inactivity and a lack of motivation. I believe that children should be encouraged to stay active, especially while they are young, as they have this opportunity to develop healthy habits.
