This huge tax increase will hurt more than help everyone in the state. If the " assessment" of my home value is to be taxed, who controls what my home is worth? This will make making any improvement on a home deinsentivized resulting in stagnation of more businesses which means less economic prosperity as a whole state.
I’m a homeowner supporting two infants and a wife these tax increases would be devastating. This greed and misappropriation of funds in Washington is out of control. “Leadership” continually lets us down and continually places more or and more strain on folks just trying to get by in peace. Justifications often include addressing homelessness for tax hikes yet what do you think will happen to many Washington families after going through with these additional tax increases? We miss holidays and many more important events for Washington politicians to help themselves to our hard earned money and spend it on bullshit. We are exhausted. Stop hurting us further. Many of us have nowhere else to go and have settled here to have our peace threatened by things like this. It’s impacting Washington residents physical emotional and psychological health. All we are trying to do is get up go to work and get by. We are beyond exhausted and pissed off This is your cue to understand the damages they’ve done with their recklessness. When is enough enough?
Two of my son’s friends live with us because they can’t afford housing even working full time in Washington state. Stop increasing taxes that continue to make Washington unliveable! Property taxes are astronomical also, taxing people out of their own homes. The continuing taxation by Washington’s legislators is untenable, as is the continuing gas tax that keeps Washingtonians paying the 3rd highest fuel cost in the nation! Please veto this upcoming tax package, Washington can’t afford it.
While don’t condone tax increases, I think one part of the budget should stay; grants to nonprofits, particularly the ones who are about environmental protection and social justice
Mr Governor Ferguson, This isn’t a right or left decision, We are getting taxed to death in this state. Washingtonians are getting punished and punished out of there life long homes and towns because they can’t afford it anymore. Years of poor money management from the state government have taken their toll. Please Veto tax increases.
Everywhere we turn, there's a tax. If there is already a tax, you want to increase it. I'm on a fixed income and these taxes are killing me and others on fixed incomes. Inflation is killing us in the grocery stores, but I don't see us disabled getting anything added to our monthly payments. I just see more money going into the pockets of the Politicians!!!
I love this state. But the amount of money being spent with absolutely zero results is asinine. But yet they want to increase the taxes to keep paying for druggies to get free healthcare and for the homeless to stay homeless. Meanwhile there’s people like me who has a good job, same with my wife, household makes over 100k a year and we’re barely getting by. Between the price of gas, groceries for our family and just trying to survive the cost of living, we need a break from the increase in taxes. Something to let us get ahead. I’ll be lucky to retire at 85 at this point.
As Washington continues to raise taxes where or when they want, people on fixed incomes that have worked their entire lives are now suffering with added taxes. Food or taxes, gas or taxes, rent or taxes, healthcare or taxes….you get the idea! Please veto any additional tax increases and my question is where do the funds go that are raised from lotto tickets?
