449 was expensive enough. I plan to VOTE WITH WALLET by WAITING!!! This will HURT sales. Might have to lower price like did with 3ds from 249 to 169 and bite bullet short term to make up sales. Sure diehard fans will buy day one but depending on amount increase due to tariffs but the average consumer isn’t going to spend $500+ on a gaming console. They are more concerned with monthly bills and necessities like FOOD. I know gaming is a business but Nintendo needs to grasp that the average consumer isn’t MADE OF MONEY and some of us don’t do YouTube for income
I always try to support small, independent roasters who consistently provide the best coffee money can buy, and community that isn’t for sale! With these tariffs, many great people will lose their jobs and along with it, we will lose another part of our communities.
As a Barista in a local coffeehouse in Utah. The tariffs have made it increasingly stressful to provide customer with an accurate and reliable supply of coffee due to the “unknown” future of these tariffs.
Tariffs will increase the one commodity that Americans not only enjoy, but use in everyday work places, at home, and to be generally alert and focused. If the US military relies on coffee to be effective in their units, civilians drink coffee to be productive within our society. Take away those small privileges one by one, there will be less production overall.
I buy my coffee almost exclusively from local roasters who will be most harmed by these tariffs. Their work helps me have new experiences, supports farmers, and ensures that my coffee is sourced ethically.
I love supporting small coffee businesses and these tariffs will hurt those companies the most. Some of the best people work at these establishments and it would be a shame for them to loose their jobs.
I have witnessed the continuous increase of outsourcing engineering services to low cost centers abroad from India, China, and El Salvador. This is driving American engineers to seek other employment opportunities and depleting the availability of critical resources that the country needs.
I'm a bridal boutique owner who is facing difficulties from these tariffs as I do not have the resources to change my entire line of designers. I have only been open for four months. Please help me survive as a new business!
Why This Petition Matters to Me
My name is Erik Hesson, and I’m a business owner and artist based in St. Petersburg, Florida. I started this petition because I’m experiencing firsthand how damaging these steep new tariffs are to small businesses like mine—and I know I’m not alone.
These tariffs aren’t just numbers on paper—they’re real price hikes on raw materials and finished products that American businesses depend on every day. Whether you're a manufacturer, retailer, or independent creator like me, if you source anything from outside the United States, you're now paying significantly more—sometimes over 50% more.
This isn’t just a business problem. These increased costs are inevitably passed along to American consumers, raising prices across the board. It’s a domino effect that affects everyone—families, workers, and communities.
We all want to see America grow and thrive, but punishing American businesses and increasing the cost of living for everyday Americans is not the way to do it. This issue touches all of us, and that’s why I’m speaking out. We need a smarter, fairer approach to trade—one that actually helps the American people.
