We’re excited to share incredible news: the Trump administration has officially removed the remaining 40% tariff on green coffee from Brazil—the largest coffee-producing country in the world. This follows last week’s announcement lifting tariffs from most other producing nations.

While India remains at 25%, nearly all major coffee-growing countries have now seen their tariffs eliminated. This is a huge win for producers around the world and for the thousands of small American coffee businesses who rely on them.

For months, roasters across the U.S. feared they would have to scale back or sever long-standing partnerships with farmers—relationships built over years of trust, investment, and shared commitment to quality. Today, those relationships are safer. The removal of the Brazilian tariff alone protects countless contracts, supports price stability, and alleviates enormous uncertainty for cafés and roasters nationwide.

Of course, many of us—including Coffee Bros.—were hit hard by these tariffs in 2025. (Yes… we literally brought in a Brazilian lot two weeks ago, just before this news dropped.) But despite the sting, we’re genuinely relieved and optimistic. 2026 is now poised to be far less tumultuous for coffee roasters, cafés, importers, and producers alike.

This victory belongs to all who signed, shared, and spoke up. Your voices mattered. Your support helped protect an ecosystem that stretches from small villages across the coffee belt to the small businesses fueling communities here at home.
