The Bay is a perfect location for the aqua park and I cannot understand why this has to be placed where there are migratory bird patterns that have been in place for decades that will be disrupted for years to come. Cosmeston Lakes are a peaceful place to enjoy nature, not a location for inflated plastic leaching into the environment.
Please focus on improving water quality in Cardiff Bay and do not allow this destruction of a wildlife haven enjoyed by so many.

Though I notice the Swan population has decreased alot.
To put this, or any other children's play center on the lake is completely out of character with this beautiful nature site. It will certainly disturb the peace of Cosmeston and quite possibly be a risk to children as there must be water rats present, as well as other risks.
There is a superb swimming pool and slides in Cardiff Bay, a local leisure centre and beaches not far. Why ever does a big plastic eye sore have to be brought to Cosmeston Country Park?
And why are there parking meters at Cosmeston too?
We all need peaceful, natural country side for our health and well being, that includes children and adults, and the older generation, please keep our local beauty spot naturally beautiful and quiet 🌳🌳🌳🍃🐦⬛🐦⬛🦢🦢🦆🦆🌲🌲🌳🌳

Cosmeston has, for decades now, been a sanctuary for wildlife biodiversity. A place where each creature plays a unique and indispensable role in the tapestry of life. It is essential to maintain its delicate ecosystem balance. People come to take quiet walks with their dogs, educate their family at the lakes, as well as the medieval days.
To slap an ‘Aqua Park’ there would be yet another human act of gross negligence for the sake of their inability to ‘function in a financially viable way’.
It is widely reported that wildlife populations have fallen by more than two-thirds in less than 50 years- All due to us humans, and our urban sprawl.
Please, please re-think on this ! There must be many other sites you can set up.
It is our duty to cherish and protect the delicate balance of nature. We should be petitioning to ensure its preservation as a sanctuary site nature reserve instead!

its a beautiful place that not only people enjoy, but the abundance of native wildlife that call the trees, swamps, dirt, bushes and water their home.
It would be a huge injustice to bring the aqua park to this reserve, and bring further harm to the ecosystem through noise pollution, inevitable plastic pollution and traffic.
The bird life of cosmeston already took a huge blow after the bird flu of 2020-21, and we’re only just starting to see an uptick of swans and moorhens again. PLEASE dont scare them away further! and keep our beautiful cosmeston clean and peaceful! because thats one of the best things about walking and sitting there, the quiet.
Dont priorities profit over the homes of precious wildlife, they have just as much right to peace and safety as us!
and if Cardiff bays water is too dirty to host the Aqua park anymore, maybe there should be an effort to clean up that water, rather then ignoring it and dirtying up another area.

This is an endangered species, and as such, they are protected by the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. As a result, Cosmeston could be classed as a Sites of Special Scientific Interest, which surely would put a dent in Aqua Park’s plans? I have video evidence of water voles in Cosmeston if that can help?
