What I find to be even worse, is that the sex offender registry provides people with a false sense of security because it is not truly transparent. Please see my petition. The sex offender that raped my daughter when she was just 9 years old return to our community and there was no notification. I wrote my petition in hopes that I could prevent there from being another victim. But less than 4 years after I wrote the petition, a second victim came forward. The second victim's case has been in litigation for the past 3 years, and until the offender is officially convicted of the second offense, he remains lurking in the shadows. His name does not appear on the sex offender registry that's accessible to the public. I can only imagine how many other sex offenders like him are out there lurking Among Us that we are unaware of because the sex offender registry is not truly transparent.

If you get a chance, please check out my petition. My daughter was raped when she was only 9 years old. When the sex offender returned the community I drafted the petition, hoping that people would be vigilant and take necessary precautions to constantly be aware of their surroundings and realize that the sex offender registry is just a false sense of security. Although I tried to warn the public, another victim came forward, less than 4 years after I wrote the petition. Charges were filed against the sex offender, but it has remained in litigation for over 3 years. Every time I get a glimmer of hope that it will finally go to trial, the trial gets postponed. And the sex offender continues to lurk in the shadows. His true nature will not come to light until he is officially convicted of a sexual crime against another individual. So while he has a proven record of being a registered sex offender, and while there has been another victim, the courts have no sense of urgency in making the public aware that this offender exists within the community.
Penny a soutenu : Abolish the Sex Offender RegistryI just wish cases could be revisited (my husband was wrongly accused almost 20 years ago). Not only did he have a case involving his ex-wife (who he had 4 children with and has not seen since) but is treated as if he has a "different kind" of case, not an adult spousal case. It was a scenario of "her word against his"...and bam, a Tier III life sentence for ALL! Not only does this effect him for the rest of his life but also his 2nd family of the last 10 years for the rest of their's; in-laws, step children, grandchildren, pets, ME, neighbors, friends, EVERYONE! FOR. THE. REST. OF. OUR. VERY. SHELTERED. LIVES. No traveling to certain places, no school programs, no park visits with the grandkids, no walking the dogs at the park, no passing out Halloween candy (can't even celebrate it with decorations!), no parties where kids gather, ETC, ETC, ETC.
I could go on and on. It's simply, NOT RIGHT!
One day, I will write our story!
Please revisit these cruel cases!!!! Deem it "domestic dispute", not SOR!

In My situation a corrupt cop had filed a false statement and I was forced to take an alford plea which is pleading guilty to a charge while maintaining My innocence. The corrupt cop and system has destroyed My belief in that system. The defund movement must continue. We have no life, liberty and can't even think of pursuing happiness. This is communism at work. They try to tell everyone that the registry is not punitive.. I have been jumped by 2 people, been let go from a job, landlords refuse to rent to us, we have been kicked out of apartments because we were on it. Currently being homeless we have to call the police every couple days to tell them where we are. Imagine living in a car with a 77 year old. I cry inside about our situation everyday and wonder how much more we can take. It is going to destroy America the registry that is. It in fact is not only punitive but a human rights violation. I am not a sex offender but forced to be one. There will one day be a reconing and a price for this destruction of humanity as they are breeding people to have hate. Abolish this cimmunist bs once and for all... We've had enough, I just want to live too.
