The city of Inver Grove Heights currently has limitations that deny a level 3 predatory offender from living within a certain distance of schools, parks, churches, licensed daycare centers/homes, and so on.

On September 11th, 2017 the Inver Grove Heights city council members and mayor voted and agreed on an exception that would allow these level 3 predatory offenders to live with an immediate family member or spouse within any distance of schools, parks, churches, licensed daycare centers/homes, and so on.

So, this could mean that a level 3 predatory offender could reside with an immediate family member or spouse, who lives directly next to a liscensed daycare, across from a school, or next to a park. 

The only way we can stop this exception is to appear at the Inver Grove Heights city council meeting on Monday September 25th at 7 p.m. at the City Council Chambers located at Inver Grove Heights City Hall, 8150 Barbara Avenue IGH, MN, and voice our concerns, fears, stories, and give them our input as concerned community members.

The reality is that this could impact any of us in any of our neighborhoods in Inver Grove Heights. Please come and tell the city council and mayor that you do not support this exception to the level 3 predatory offender ordinance.
