I have seen, first hand, how important this program has been for our grandchildren, the last of which is just finishing the program in June. They have learned so much more than in any conventional classroom about things like emotions, leadership, tactile learning and so much more. They also enjoyed higher teacher to student ratios. A really valuable learning program. We want other kids, esp kids from low income households, to have this exceptional learning experience. Please don’t leave our little beach town Bezos.
This program supports so much early learning for kids that otherwise might not get the opportunity for vital learning at an hugely important stage of life. Education is a vital investment on everyone's future.
I do not drive and Dahl Elementary is super close for my kids to attend. If they close the school I would have to walk go to a further location. My son also love his class and school.
Please rethink before you close this school, I have 3 kids that now go to this school coming from a privite school they've all had to learn how to adapt and make new friends. Kids have such a hard time making new friends that can cause separation anxiety and can cause schooling to be tough but my kids have just learned to adapt to Captian Dalh with all the friendly teachers down to the wonderful kids that are probably going through the same thing. Teachers here were able to teach the kids more academic skills than privite schooling so that shows so much that these teachers made such an impact to our kids education. Please again think twice before shutting g this school down because it's should not be about the money that you guys only see but the next future of kids that we can bring into this world, you got kids of all types of areas coming from all different backgrounds only wanting one thing is to put thier kids into a good pathway into adulthood. If any of you are parents you would know exactly what I'm talking about! So it's not just a school your closing it'll be hundreds of kids that you will soon effect. So before you close, put aside your self gain.
I am a former substitute teacher pre pandemic, and this school was one that I still have greet memories of. The fellow teachers and school administration was beyond professional. I was even able to talk with the principal, which doesn't happen much when you're a good substitute. And the schools namesake should be a reason on it's own, not to close it. The legacy of Captain Dahl needs to continue on. He was a hero on 9/11.
Save Dahl elementary, it needs to stay open for our children our future generations .This school is a memorial for captain Jason Dahl who attended this school ,we lived in this neighborhood and grew up knowing the Dahl family .it would be a dishonor to Jason Dahl ,to close this school ,Franklin district stated on the news they would still honor him how by throwing his captains hat on a shelve along with a plaque in the district office shame on you .Save Dahl elementary and the true meaning of honoring our Hero
PLEASE DON’T CLOSE JASON DAHL. MY BROTHER, NEPHEWS AND SON GO TO THE SCHOOL AND THEY LOVE IT . THEY ALL HAVE BEEN GOING THERE SINCE KINDERGARDEN THEY HAVE MADE SO MANY FRIENDS, IT WILL BREAK THEIR HEARTS IF THE SCHOOL CLOSES.
It’s devastating that Dahl can potentially be closing. Taken that Dahl has impacted our children so much in a positive way, being that it was renamed after Captain Jason M Dahl it has inspired our Dahl students to pursue their dreams. Captain Jason Dahl has become a role model to our children as it lets them know that they can achieve anything they set their minds to. It would also affect a lot of our walking community as many of us have to walk to school, it’s in the heart of our neighborhood. It’s surrounded by homes, doesn’t make sense to close this school as it has so much potential to accommodate a lot more students. Has space for more parking . La union hace la fuerza, and it’s being shown by our community that we are all together in this by creating a strong foundation for our children in this school. Please keep us together.
This school has so many memories for myself and my daughter this is the first time she actually feels comfortable and loves her teachers! She will be devastated if this school closes! So much history and so much potential for the future!
