As an American, I value the freedoms and rights that are foundational to our nations identity. Among these is the right to responsibly use public spaces, like roadways, which are maintained for the benefit of all citizens. When a council arbitrarily strips away my ability to park my camper, a legal, safe, and personal property on a public roadway. It feels like a direct infringement on my rights as a citizen, and betrayal of the principles of fairness and personal liberty that our country stands for. The roadways belong to the people not to governing bodies, acting without transparency or accountability. My camper is not just a vehicle. It represents freedom, self-reliance, and a lifestyle steeped in American tradition. To have that freedom restricted without reasonable justification erodes the trust I have in the system meant to protect my rights. I respect the need for regulations that ensure safety and order, but such rules must be balanced, justified, and applied equitably when the council takes actions that appear arbitrary or discriminatory it sets a dangerous president, threatening the liberties we should all hold dear. I stand firm and asserting my right to responsibly enjoy public spaces, and I urge the council to reconsider policies that diminish the freedom that defines us as Americans

I also feel like Cheyenne is still a small town, and the least populated state in the union is Wyoming. The state's natural beauty is unparralleled and everybody should go out to see it, and experience all it has to offer. The camper owners collectively are in a position to go out and do that very thing. So why does city counsel disregard the camper owners, and in the name of safety put this hardship on the camper owners. If the issue is blind spots at intersections, the ordinance out to restrict parking a camper within so many feet of the intersection. Wouldn t that address the problem better than punishing all the camper owners? I used to live in an area that had a HOA, this action reminds me of their rules and control issues. I moved here for many reasons, one being to leave an hoa community. We don t need more rules, and city paper pushers justifying their jobs or paychecks. Lets move forward using common sense, and address the blind spots so those campers get moved to alleviate the problem. The ordinance shouldn t punish the thousands of camper owners in Cheyenne, who are able to have their campers close by their homes.

Overreach by the city has been a long time problem for residents. There is no reason for this blanket decision. We pay extra money registering these vehicles and now jealousy by a small number of city council is making it harder for people that like to enjoy the great outdoors that our state provides. There is no good reason to prevent people from parking there vehicle in front of their property if it does not violate parking regulations. The city needs to spend time on repairing streets and improving conditions for the people that pay taxes.

The city can't maintain the side streets, Everton Dr hasn't been tended to in over a decade. You want to tell me what I can or can't park in front of my property but you don't are about the condition of the street. How many accidents to pedestrian or vehicle have been attributed to RVs parked on the street. Mr Seagrave, I supported you in the election. As far Mr Johnson goes, he's been pushing this for years. Better play is to wait until the council members are sworn in to revisit this issue. I don't leave my camper on the street year round, from Nov to May it's parked of the street. This is a government overreach, the reason we pay registration for any vehicle is to be able to park and drive on public roads. What bothers me more is the fact that a government body wants to make citizens pay for storage on their oversized vehicles such as RV’s. Campers are a way of life and culture here in Cheyenne and Wyoming. We should always stand up against any overreach of government. Next they will do is paid parking, let’s remember that we pay registration and fuel tax to maintain our roads and parking. The idea to charge again is another overreach. Cheyenne let’s stand together on the principle that Government mandates are sometimes just a vision of theirs and not the citizens.
