The mine would come and go after less than a generation leaving hundreds or thousands of years of environmental degradation than will make it harder for many generations in te region. Not a forward thinking positive use of public lands.

It has contaminated our fish with an excess amount of mercury, and it has been determined that you can only eat one fish a month out of the river. Stop letting these companies ruin our environment, especially while asking for $50 million of taxpayer money. Reinvest that money in children and schools in low-income communities.

Almost a hundred years later and people can't drink the well water. They have to bring in water. Now it's a super fund site that still hasn't been cleaned up because of the cost. It's not worth it

Ellos no tienen voz para defenderse, y aun así son los más afectados. Su hogar, su tranquilidad y su vida estarían en riesgo solo por intereses humanos. No es justo que paguen ellos el precio.
