I’ve adopted both my cats from mini cat town, and they are the friendliest, most well adjusted cats I’ve ever had. It’s an excellent business and non profit and adds so much vibrancy to the local area, not to mention it creates very tolerant and friendly cats! As a resident of palo alto I would be deeply saddened to see such a positive community force shut down over needlessly strict zoning regulations.

Mini Cat Town has been a wonderful addition to Stanford mall. Not only does it provide a great platform for finding permanent homes for the cats, it's also clearly a source of joy for all the visitors, whether they go inside or just look in the windows. My son was so taken by the experience of visiting, that he started volunteering there within days, and the time he spends there is a highlight of his week. It's incredibly obvious that Mini Cat Town is not a boarding facility (no cat owner is paying to have their cat boarded there!) and not only does it qualify as a pet retail store, it's also clearly providing a much more positive experience for the cats than a Petco! Everyone, every cat, and Stanford Mall itself will be worse off if Mini Cat Town has to close.

I’ve always loved walking around Stanford Mall and stopping by to greet the cats in the window. I even had a session playing with them, and it was a wonderful experience. Being around such affectionate cats felt like a form of therapy for me. I really hope MiniCat Town is here to stay—otherwise, the only reason I’d be going to Stanford Mall is for McDonald’s!

Mini Cat Town deserves to stay where they are as they are providing a valuable service to our animals and community. Look at the animal shelters who harm the animals. Read about their despicable crimes here and please share these petitions to bring awareness. https://www.change.org/gangstalkedbypolice https://www.change.org/CityofOaklandCorruptionExposed Their presence brings joy to children and people visiting the mall. Its founders are some dedicated Asian women uplifting the lives of cats with nothing financial to gain. They accomplish more in adopting out cats than my useless local Tri City Animal Shelter in Fremont. To tie their time in this reclassification mess is appalling and smells fishy to me. Who started this thing behind the scene some "Karen"? My lord there are so many buildings in Palo Alto, especially in Oakland, and in entire US violating all kinds of codes and these code enforcement folks want to come down on a cat rescue which runs neat and clean? I would not want such officials reelected if they support such harassment of a cat rescue like Mini Cat Town. Folks remember these elected officials names next election and not vote for them if they are so heartless and ridiculous to our helpful community members like Mini Cat Town. My prayers are with the founders and cats of this rescue. It will really harm their cats if they are uprooted from their location at the mall. The beneficiaries are the cats remember that. The founders are giving thousands of worth of their time freely to run this non profit rescue. They turned me down to intake my rescues for adoption but I am still am supporting them because I know they face many challenges in filling the community's need to help all the demand out there. City of Palo Alto officials please let this rescue stay.

Mini Cat Town gave our family a unique opportunity to interact with cats and appreciate them. We enjoyed it so much that our teen now volunteers there, which is a great experience for them to help with the adoption of cats in need of a home.

Mini Cat Town in the Stanford Mall has been a huge part of my life since I started volunteering there. It is the only location that I can volunteer at because all the other ones are too far away. Now that I have discovered that I can volunteer there, I don't know what I'd do without it. Going to Mini Cat Town is the highlight of my week. It is definitely not a boarding facility and helps cats find their forever homes. If Mini Cat Town closes, then many cats might be deprived of loving families that they deserve. I hope it is taken into consideration that Mini Cat Town stays in the Stanford Mall.
