I just don’t see a suicide coming from someone who had plans to change their life, the means to do it, and a baby daughter they adored. He had everything to live for. Sure, he had problems with depression…but to end everything when you know you have the means to fix your life and be there for your daughter. It just doesn’t fit….and on top of the OD and funky evidence…it’s just not good enough for me to call it a suicide without looking into it more thoroughly. people deserve better than that
This case must be reopened due to numerous inconsistencies and unanswered questions surrounding Kurt Cobain’s death. The Seattle Police Department ruled it a suicide within hours, yet glaring forensic issues remain unaddressed: no usable fingerprints were found on the shotgun, the pen, or the shell casing. Furthermore, no ink-matching tests were conducted between the pen and the note, which itself raises questions due to shifts in tone and handwriting. The level of heroin in Cobain’s system was also so high that it would likely have incapacitated him, making the logistics of the scene questionable.
Private investigator Tom Grant, originally hired by Courtney Love herself, has spent nearly 30 years advocating for a reevaluation of this case. His findings include evidence of motive, suspicious behavior by key individuals, and a lack of proper investigative follow-up. Additionally, figures such as Eldon “El Duce” Hoke, who implicated Love in foul play, died under suspicious circumstances shortly after speaking publicly. These elements collectively highlight the need for a deeper, unbiased investigation.
Reopening this case is not just about seeking justice for Kurt Cobain, but about holding investigative systems accountable and addressing the truth. With advances in forensic science and growing public support, now is the time to revisit the facts and finally provide clarity on what truly happened.
The police said the door was blocked by a stool from the inside.. but the doors opened outwards. It may seem irrelevant but it shows the poor quality of the investigation. They didn’t investigate it as a potential murder like they would nowadays… as for a motive I’d say inheriting $450 million and the fact she would have been wrote out of his will if he had of lived is sufficient.
