I am a former hockey player, a woman, and a member of the LGBTQ+ community. Many corporations seem to think slapping a rainbow onto their logo makes them inclusive, and it is sad to see the PWHL is following suit. Your fan base is heavily made up of LGBTQ members and supporters. Even if you are only concerned about your bottom line, it makes sense to at the very least publicly condemn anti-LGBTQ players. If you hold even a little concern about human rights or the well- being of the communities that support you, now is beyond time to publicly stand by the trans community and let them know that hatred and bigotry will not be tolerated within your organization.

I am a transgender fan. This is one of the few spaces that openly welcomes LGBTQ folks. But the league is making it clear they're willing to turn a blind eye to hate, in the interest of profit. Please send a strong message that hate if ANY kind, including coming from players, is unwelcome here.
