Support Nad to Remain in Amsterdam - Petition to COA:
The Issue
Petition to the Central Agency for the Reception of Asylum Seekers (COA) Request for Nad to Remain in Amsterdam
Dear COA,
We, the undersigned, are reaching out to support Nad’s request to remain in Amsterdam, the city where they have found belonging, safety, and purpose. Nad is a non-binary transfeminine person (they/she) who has built a meaningful life in Amsterdam as an LGBTQ+ rights advocate, writer, and drag performer. Here, they have discovered a compassionate community and a sense of stability that is essential to their mental health and well-being.
Why Amsterdam Matters to Nad?
Amsterdam has become Nad’s true home—a place where they feel accepted and valued. As someone with PTSD, Nad has found crucial emotional support in Amsterdam, which plays a central role in their well-being. This support system is more than a comfort; it’s essential to Nad’s ability to manage their PTSD and continue living openly and safely.
Nad’s Commitment to Giving Back Through Volunteering
Nad has a strong commitment to giving back to the Amsterdam community. They hope to stay here to continue growing personally, work toward their education and career goals, and contribute to the city through volunteer work. They are dedicated to supporting others in the LGBTQ+ community and beyond, eager to participate in local initiatives and create a positive impact in any way they can. Volunteering gives Nad a sense of purpose and allows them to build stronger connections within Amsterdam.
Our Request
With humility and respect, we ask COA to consider allowing Nad to stay in Amsterdam, where they have found the support and stability they need. This city has become a safe and encouraging space for Nad to heal, grow, and give back, and they are grateful for the opportunities they’ve found here. Being able to remain in Amsterdam would make a profound difference in Nad’s life and allow them to continue serving their community.
Thank you sincerely for considering this request.
Warm regards,
Nad’s Supporters and Friends
