Prisoners rights are a crucial yet often overlooked issue globally, with petitions advocating for fair treatment, rehabilitation, and humane conditions for incarcerated individuals. Recent trends have highlighted overcrowding, lack of access to healthcare, and the prevalence of solitary confinement in prisons. Key issues in these petitions include calls for increased mental health support, educational opportunities, and an end to harsh punishments. One notable petition, with thousands of signatures, demands an end to the use of solitary confinement, citing its detrimental effects on mental health. Another petition focuses on improving healthcare access for prisoners, highlighting the alarming rates of preventable deaths behind bars. Get involved in these petitions to stand up for the rights of those in prison and help create a more just and compassionate system for all. Your support can make a difference in the lives of incarcerated individuals and promote a more humane approach to justice.
I’m signing because this case highlights why due process matters for everyone. From what’s been shared publicly, Mr. Bilgoray has provided multiple forms of evidence dash-cam footage, phone records, affidavits, and even a polygraph test showing he did not make the alleged call. Yet he still faces a probation violation, which requires a much lower burden of proof than a criminal trial, and is being pushed to accept either more years of probation or a possible prison sentence.
A loving father deserves the chance to rebuild a relationship with his kids without being trapped by false accusations. I hope the DA looks closely at the facts and acts in the children’s best interest.
Richmond county as a whole should feel nothing but shame following this case, allowing the words of idle minds to effect a case of justice and deny a man a fair trial, nothing to do but protest the same way they did against him. I personally spoke to 4 “officials” regarding this case so far, the information received does not match from one official vs the next. This young man will miss out on the rest of his life due to an unjust and unfair trial, shame on every “official” who handled this case.
