My entire life living in Liberty I have used this mailbox for everything from personal letters to bills, to sending off my tax filing paperwork and it has been a great convenience...however now I am a disabled resident and this drop box removal isn't just removing a convenience, but also causing a hardship for me and others who have mobility issues. Please consider putting it back in place. Thank you!
This mailbox was very convenient for the community. Especially for people who are disabled or have children. Parking isn’t always available at the post office and with the drive through removed it’ll be even harder to find parking.
It boggles the mind that there is no way to opt out. This should be the standard. I don't want to contribute to the wasteful production and transport of advertisements I'm going to throw out without reading.
My issue is with spectrum communications have gone on their site six times in the last two years to stop the mailers, since I did that the mailers have increased this week. I’ve received three even though I’ve gone on their site six times to opt out of all communication. I’ve written the FCC and the fair trade commission. I’ve also contacted their legal department to no avail.
Correction to my earlier post: EDDM unsolicited mail wastes my time and hurts the environment. I do not want this mail. I should have the right to opt out of it. As a courtesy to my mail carrier, I do not refuse it at delivery but I do save it up, mark it "Refused," and put it in the trash at my local post office. That way I don't have to pay to have it hauled off my property.
