My sister Danielle passed away, her boyfriend and other so called friends did not call for help until it was too late! They also robbed my sister of her pocket book and the jewelry on her body
This is an issue I care most about because I recently lost my nephew to this epidemic. He was my brothers ONLY child and we lost my brother almost three years ago, not to drugs.
I will do what I can to spears awareness on this disease and try my best to help
I have narcan'ed/performed CPR on my own son 4x's. On one of those occasions his "friend" ran off and left him unconscious and cyanotic. Had I not come in at that moment he would not be here today. Today he is clean 6mos, working full time. When I look into his eyes I see my beautiful son looking back at me, something that was no longer present for a long time. I have also resuscitated 3 other young men. Today each one of them are clean for 2+ years, completed education, working and even have their children back in their custody. These are human beings, they have family, children that we are talking About. No one is hopeless. This is a disease! Everyone as long as they breath deserve a change to get help. Anyone that can turn a blind eye to someone in need of aid is criminal. This kind of apathy and respect for human life are an example of what is at the root of the deteriorating fabric of this society. To walk away from a person who is dying should be a criminal act and punished by law. It's time we say enough and not allowed anyone to be part of this problem. My grandson almost lost his father, I nearly lost my child because someone left him to die. Please don't allow this in our society.
My name is Victoria... And I'm an addict. A recovering one. I am all for implementing this new obligatory law. It may not stop the robbing but it may make a person stop and think twice before they decide to walk away. I will admit I was one of those who would see someone overdosed and rob them while I was dialing 911. Im not proud of this fact but today I can admit my faults and that helps me tmbecime a better person than I was yesterday. Please sign this petition. So many lives could be saved because of this. Thank you.
My son passed away in his wheelchair and was moved to an empty lot…Nobody tried any life saving measures, just gave orders to remove him from the street, it’s bad for business!!! This happened in Kensington in Phila…
