I'm a Thor main with 110 hours on the character so I have a lot to say regarding how upset I am with the patch but I will try to keep this concise and clear. The flexible playstyle we Thor mains fell in love with has been taken away, our brawling capability and cd cycle which we enjoyed taken away, and the balance of the character that existed has been taken away where he will be an even bigger low elo stomper and high elo trash pick now. After watching the response video I still don't like what they've done to Thor at all (disregarding the insult) because it shows they want him to just be an awakened bot who doesn't dive and brawl much. Also, with this his melee capabilities become irrelevant. The whole reason I got into Thor and liked him through all the suffering was because the high mobility, melee brawl, and chase capabilities that came together in his flexible and high pace style with shields for sustain as well as a few awakenings for some big plays really appealed to me. This Thor just doesn't have that. With his gameplay loop now constantly locked in place for 6 seconds and the shields nerf he can't go into an enemy team or backline so much to get work done. Even just dashing around and being a distraction in the backline is nerfed with the shield hit. If I wanted big projectiles poke with a bit of melee capability I would just go Bucky. We wanted an addition of identity to what we had. This instead replaces what we had with something different, boring, and less effective. If you are someone who believes this a doesn't understand the changes or believes this is a buff, I plead that you watch the following videos made by the Thor community which clarify them for non-Thor mains. The first video (sovereign) is the best video clarity wise as this guys does all the math, works all the numbers, and clears up all the gameplay very well. The second and third video are more passion and feeling focused for us Thor mains by Jeremy who is a very popular Thor influencer and the previous rank 1 Thor player, Anachromics (another top player) also made a short if you rather something smaller on YouTube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mxqhkr5x_78 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ayoE0ltRLnA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hoP4O73KWzg If all of the above does not convince you I ask that you look at the early access released gameplay showcased by Bogur to understand the removal of Thor's identity that makes him a boring hero with a dps kit that pales in comparison to a real dps like Bucky and doesn't have the same poke tools as poke tanks like Magneto. You can't even say "Bogur doesn't know how to play Thor" because this is what the devs wanted. Just full dps awakened bot that only feeds support ults, only gets kills on enemies that full feed, and dies easily when the space is taken. Many people are saying the issues new Thor has is just bad player aim but keep in mind Bogur is one of the top players in the world before you listen to those arguements. In the end this was not short at all so sorry about that but please, help revert the hero that got me into this game back to who he was.

I'm not sure what Netease devs were thinking when they concocted the upcoming hero adjustments in season 2.5, but what they plan to do with Thor, Psylocke, Torch and Jeff makes no sense. Personally, I've put more time into Thor than any of these other heroes and his current kit is the main reason I picked him up in the first place. I love the BRAWLER in Thor; using his hammer throw/melee for bashing enemies around the map to either protect my strategists or feed my duelists is the most unique and fun gameplay I've found among the vanguard heroes. The hammer throw working in tandem with his melee plays a significant role to this close combat tactic, so nerfing that ability's damage output AND adding a 6 second cooldown in exchange for quicker Thor-force regeneration is the worst change being made to his kit. Netease claims this adjustment is to promote Thor's Rune Awakening ability as his main means of dealing damage, which proves they don't understand or acknowledge how much this change will negatively impact Thor as a whole. Rune awakening is the last ability in Thor's kit I rely on for damage as it places him in a very vulnerable state for 12 seconds and cannot be cancelled once activated. He becomes a slow floating turret with projectiles that are among the slowest in the game and almost useless for ranged attack against conscious opponents (I say this because the video showcasing his 2.5 kit demonstrates him fighting braindead enemies who couldn't hit their shots). Pretending like this ability is Thor's best choice for combat is ridiculous and lowers his skill ceiling to a lightning-bot-spamming level that drains him of the fun hammer-wielding melee fighter-style I enjoy so much. If Netease actually wanted to provide Thor with a buff to his thor-force, they could simply lower his Lightning Realm cooldown since that already restores thor-force. Personally, after I learned how to properly use Thor's abilities, I never had a problem with running out of thor-force if I found an opportunity to activate Rune awakening. But as I've already said, using Rune awakening is not a smart ability to simply spam every possible second. Finally, as if Thor wasn't already one of the most vulnerable vanguards in the game, who already underwent a decrease in overall heath, dropping his over-shield gained from his abilities will put him at even MORE risk when using his Rune Awakening ability. That in my opinion, is the most telling adjustment that Netease don't fully understand how this hero is best utilized in the game. If I'm wrong, then why would they pretend that these changes aren't anything short of a complete nerf? Removing Thor's hammer throw from his base ability pool and lowering its damage just to replace it with an ability that makes him more vulnerable, provides less overshield and makes him less effective as a frontline vanguard shows a lack in understanding what makes Thor such a unique an fun hero. Like I've said, Thor isn't the only hero getting shafted in season 2.5, but he'll be the one I miss playing the most after Netease ruins him. Would be nice if the developers could show some appreciation for their player base and revoke their plan to move forward with these abysmal nerfs.
