Motorized recreation is a contentious topic that encompasses the use of vehicles like ATVs, dirt bikes, and snowmobiles in recreational activities. This issue has gained traction in recent years due to concerns about environmental impact, noise pollution, and safety hazards associated with motorized vehicles in natural areas.
Petitions under this topic often focus on regulating or limiting motorized recreation in specific locations to protect sensitive ecosystems and wildlife habitats. For example, a petition with thousands of signatures may call for designated off-road areas to prevent unauthorized vehicle use in national parks. Another petition might address the need for stricter enforcement of noise regulations to reduce disturbances in nature reserves.
By exploring and supporting these petitions, individuals can contribute to preserving the environment and promoting sustainable recreational practices. Join the movement to advocate for responsible motorized recreation and protect our natural landscapes for future generations.

As a fellow side by side AND snowmobile rider, this needs to stop. Wheeled vehicles have all summer to ride, snowmobiles only get a few weeks anymore. Unless your side by side/ATV has tracks, I think they need to stay off the snowmobile trails! My wife and daughter was almost hit by a side by side this year while riding their snowmobiles. Stay off the snowmobile trails!
It’s not even about maintaining trail conditions, it’s about safety. Sometime soon there’s going to be a fatality resulting from collision with a wheeled vehicle not expected on the groomed marked snowmobile trail. The simple fact that they are much wider than a snowmobile and limits safe passing is a no brainier. <br>
Thank you.
My daughter and I were riding down the little Manistee trail in Lake County Michigan, and we got ran right off the trail by several side-by-side. If we did not go into the woods, we would’ve gotten a bad accident. Those things have no place in the winter time they need to be put away in the winter. They have all spring summer and fall to ride and they are just selfish people that keep pushing legislatures to keep it open in the winter.
