It is always a shame going to the lake and seeing all of the algae and dead fish floating around. The previous efforts to clean up the lake weren't even close to enough to fix the problem. I am also concerned about the fact that the lake is flowing through Tannery creek into the river, likely polluting it. Fulton should use some of the improvement money that it has just been sitting on to clean the lake and restore the towns former top recreational area and natural feature.
As Florida becomes more populated, and our natural attractions become more of a commodity, we will see a decline in the natural space. Resources will be allocated to appease tourists, travelers, and other humans in the same space. We can NOT forget about what makes Florida great, our Wildlife. Be mindful of the Creatures on Land, Air, and Water. Though not directly affected, our waste will slowly crawl from the micro organisms in the ground to the raptors up above. Be mindful, be aware, make the change.
