i love the oh series in its entirety, this franchise is one of my favorites to ever exist and to be honest had got me out of some pretty bad times. I would hate to see missing link go forever and just know the community will come through for it

I, like so many others, was looking forward to this game for years. I loved the concept of collecting AP while walking around and encountering Heartless in my hometown. And being able to keep exploring the map after I returned home. I am really sad we don't get to do this.. But even worse is to never know the story that was supposed to be told. Having story updates to talk about with this community, to theorize and engage and raise the excitement/awareness for KH4 would have been perfect. I really hope there is a way to still make this come true. At least the story and engagement part. We all love Kingdom Hearts and I'm really thankful for all the work that was put into these games. So please don't let the work that was put into Missing Link go to waste.

Kingdom Hearts has been a huge thing for me ever since I was 4 years old. I’ve played these games for nearly 20 years and have deep dived into the story to better understand everything. Without Missing Link bridging the gap between the other mobile games and Kingdom Hearts 4 it’s going to be hard to fully understand all that’s happened. Every piece of story is crucial. The effort was put into Missing Link, and it deserves to be shown. Whether it be a differently formatted game, a cinematic experience like Back Cover, or something else, it deserves to be seen. Please help get this project back on track.

Kingdom Hearts: Missing-Link had the potential to change lives. Many of us were excited not just for the story, but for the chance to connect with others in the KH community, get outside, and engage with something meaningful. In rural areas where fans are isolated, this game could’ve built real friendships and a sense of belonging. The day its cancellation was announced, I was so devastated that I immediately started teaching myself game design — just to try and build something inspired by what Missing-Link could’ve been. This wasn’t just another mobile game. It was a chance for me and my friends to grow, to explore, improve our health, and to be part of a community we deeply care about. A game like this needs to exist. And I truly believe Square Enix still has the chance to make that happen.

I am amazed by the power of connection within Kingdom Hearts. It's a series about connection, and the importance of believing in others, working together, and just being there for each other. The lessons it teaches and the values it holds as important are something we all need in the real world -- whether we need a refresher on what's most important to us, or a reminder to fight for what's right. But I am also amazed by the connection Kingdom Hearts builds in the real world. So many people have connected in so many ways just because they're familiar with Sora's story. I've seen this connection in the videos, stories, and artwork so many fans have created and shared. I've seen it in moments where I'm playing the piano, and people come talk to me because they recognize the Kingdom Hearts music. And I've seen it in this petition, signed by thousands of dedicated fans, connected by a series about connections. I haven't been a Kingdom Hearts fan for too long -- about four years. For the first year, I explored what there already was -- even now, there is so much to see, still games to play. But when the Kingdom Hearts 4 and Missing Link trailers came out, I became so excited for these new games (though I will admit I was more excited for Kingdom Hearts 4). These would be the first new games since I got into the series, and I couldn't wait to play them. I waited for years, and I really expected to be playing Missing Link in 2024. Of course, that didn't happen. When I heard Missing Link was cancelled, it seemed like good news and bad news at the same time. Kingdom Hearts 4 would probably come out sooner. But Missing Link would never come out, and I and so many others would never get to play it. Seeing this petition, I had to sign it. Even if we never get Missing Link, I still want Square Enix to know that we care. Your games are loved, Square Enix. They brighten up my life, and probably many others. So much work has already gone into the game, and so many people want to see and experience it. I understand that cancelling it may have been the best decision. But regardless, there are many, many hearts who want to experience, in any way possible, the adventure and connection that is the Missing Link. Thank you for your time.

Kingdom Hearts as a whole is a very special game series that has quite literally saved the lives of many people, myself included. About 10-12 years ago when I was actively suicidal, I made a promise to myself that I couldn't die until I saw the end of the series, for both myself and my childhood friend who lost his battle. He loved Kingdom Hearts just as much as I did, so I swore to love it enough for both of us in his place. And I know I'm not the only one who's stayed alive because of this beautiful, quite literally life saving series. It's story deserves to be told in it's full and complete entirety. Missing Link is a game that many, many, many people were very excited for, including myself. I literally bought a new phone so I would be able to play it, because my old one was too old to run it. I know there's lots of people that have done the same thing as me.

As someone who practically studies all of the lore of all Kingdom Hearts media, I was looking forward to exploring Scala in a different form and learning more about the past of this world. I have so many questions, and I was hoping this game could at least give me some insight into what happened to Ephemer and Brain, and perhaps even see a different incarnation of Luxu. Kingdom Hearts has been there through every rough patch of my life, and as silly as it seems I was deeply hurt to find out this game was cancelled. There are so many stories in this world that need to be told, so please, find a way to tell it.

Seeing the loss of Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link was quite a shock. It was hard to believe that something as important as this game could be developed over such a long period of time only to never see a proper release. I missed out on the previous mobile title, and I saw the arrival of this new one as an opportunity to experience what I never got to before. We're well aware that despite being mobile games that these Kingdom Hearts titles are just as important as the console and handheld entries they accompany. I can't say for certain that the GPS functionality would've benefited my experience of the game or that it could have taken away from it depending on whether I would be forced to engage with or not, as I do not live in an area where such a mechanic would be possible to use properly. But if there was a way to make a compromise for those who cannot use the GPS functionality as intended, then I would be more than happy to play the game for days, weeks, months and more as I'm confident the gameplay alone would have been a very enjoyable experience. Please don't let Missing-Link disappear just because its intended form may not have been as engaging to us Kingdom Hearts as expected.

This series has been a part of my life since infancy. My mom used to put me to sleep with the music, and because of that, I found the game when I was older and developed an intense love for the story and the music, so much so that I learned the violin. These games, these stories, have helped to shape me. I love them so much, and I didn't care what form Missing Link came to me in as long as I could be transported back into the world of Kingdom Hearts again. The X Saga is probably my favorite storyline so far, and I'm really looking forward to it: I was elated when Missing Link was announced. I really hope my signature and comment help it get out into the world, even if only as a cutscene movie like Back Cover, which is my favorite story installment after Birth By Sleep. I understand things are tricky right now, but I really hope that we can get it out somehow, even if it's only that they finish rendering what cutscenes they had planned and release those. :)

This series literally saved my life 16 years ago, and I've been a dedicated fan ever since. The lore implications of this particularly chapter of the story were so immense, and to have this interesting concept yanked out from underneath us unexpectedly like this is extremely disappointing. While I completely understand why Square Enix is pivoting away from mobile game development at this time, I would still very much like to see this story told in some shape or form. Given how expensive game development is these days, a novelization of the story would be very much welcomed. A cutscene style movie would be nice if possible, but honestly, as long as we get the story in the end, I'll be extremely satisfied regardless. I hope that you'll please give us this lore in an accessible form since mobile game development fell through! Thanks for your time and attention.
