Rebecca Halbach should remain in jail and not get early release
She abused several animals who did not have a voice who could not take care of thereselves could not get their own food these these dogs relied on Rebecca to care for them and she failed she felt so badly that these animals died in her care
As they were unkept they weeped cried and begged just to eventually be thrown in a man-made hole with no regard to their lives and or left in the house to rott also Some may say they're animals but these animals should have rights and us who care about them need to be their voice. Their voice to Justice .She deserves to do her full term in jail without early release. As a resident in the community of Marlton we have to drive by the house that these dogs were killed and it's just a memory of what this selfish heartless human being did to them along with her boyfriend. What she did to her kids is heartbreaking what they had to witness no kids should ever... she flat out abused them. So I am asking please reconsider early release and full Justice for these animals SHE KILLED with intent . Please don't give her, her freedom . Justice justice justice for these beautiful dogs / children
This topic is so important. As a former child services caseworker, we are trained that the most vulnerable to abuse are the victims that aren’t able to speak for themselves, but what about animals? How are they supposed to speak for themselves, make phone for themselves, tell a trusted teacher or health care provider that they’re being harmed? There are too few laws around this and not strong enough penalties for perpetrators. All lives are precious human or not and nothing on earth deserves to be purposefully harmed. This is a serious matter that deserves attention and a bigger platform. The death of an animal due to abuse leaves just as much of an impact on families as the death of a child. To some, their pets are their children. Why should they be treated as less? I would like to see the pressure turned up on legislators to really take this serious and do something about it. I could also go on in detail about the psychopathology that usually precedes animal abuse, along with the following escalation to violence against humans but wrong is wrong and it bares repeating that no matter what, this needs to be addressed.
There is no excuse for animal torture and abuse! Our laws need to change and these monsters need to have consequences for their actions. This woman is a danger not only to the animals she has in her care, but to society as well. We are fed up and angry that animals are not protected by strict enough laws here in AZ. We are their voice!!!
This is a miscarrage of justice in my opinion. I know there are 'more important things' to be worrying about right now, but this shouldn't be set to the side. Our pets, our family members, shouldn't be at risk because 'it feels like we couldn't get a conviction.' If there isn't a conviction, if a jury genuinely feels there isn't enough evidence, then I will accept it. But not even bringing this to court sets a worrying and dangerous precedent.
I am here to add my voice for the voiceless. The violence against animals has to stop. We need stronger laws to prosecute those who inflict harm on the voiceless. Please let's band together so those who inflict harm on the animals know that there will be consequences!
I think any person torturing and killing animals should be arrested and put in jail. There have been many instances where people started this behavior on animals and progressd to killing human beings. This is really sick and they should pay dearly for their crimes. This woman should be incarcerated. My Previous work was in Law Enforcement inside the Jail and if this was happening in another County they would not be walking the streets.
She was my neighbor when I lived in Mesa. One of the dogs she tortured and killed was named Catalina, she belonged to another neighbor that had left and was going through a rough time. She was the best dog I’ve ever known. No dog deserves to be tortured but if there was ever a dog least deserving it was Cat. She was the sweetest most intelligent dog and her owner has suffered greatly knowing what happened to her while she was away.
Please hear our voices! We are truly concerned and frightened for the safety of this innocent animal. By giving it back to this lady who is not okay mentally, will only cause the dog to be killed, & put through horrible torture. Put yourself in the dogs position. Would you be okay with humans giving you back to a mentally unstable person who has a history of killing animals??? You would be very scared for your life. Be grateful that that’s not you in this case. And if it were, I would be using my voice for you too if you couldn’t defend yourself..
