I’m an Optimum customer, and I’ve encountered several sites that are completely unroutable without a VPN that exits their infrastructure. Every type of network tool - ping, nslookup, traceroute, etc. - all fail to find any evidence that the sites exist unless you bypass all of their infrastructure. It’s not acceptable to break the internet for no reason or good purpose, and in the complete absence of any evidence that Optimum might be doing something for some good reason - and thus be willing to admit they were doing anything - it’s entirely fair to assume malicious intent.
