This Free Kill law is unconstitutional and unfair, I also find it discriminating that they put an age limit on the children. I am my fathers only child and the only person that cares to get justice for what was done to him.
This story is regarding the Marion County jail/ Heart of Florida Health Care and Advent Hospital
My father was incarcerated in the marion county jail receiving medical care through heart of florida health Dr. Jose Rodriguez, 20 times between 6/15/24 and 1/10/25 he complained of right shoulder pain, he was throwing up blood in July before the xray of his right shoulder was done he complained of right rib pain as well. The xray showed a mild patchy density in the right upper lobe that was said to be pneumonia although his symptoms was not of a person with pneumonia and he had clear lungs.
On 9/11/24 and 10/11/24 my father was given IBU-(NSAIDS) although his medical chart stated No NSAIDS due to history of GI Bleed, Carotid Stenosis and Atrial Fibrillation. On 10/21/24 Medical staff at the jail witnessed my dad getting weaker and becoming incontinent of bowls and bladder. On 10/24/24 he was taken to Advent Health and Admitted from 10/24/24-11/1/24 being treated for a GI Bleed. Blood Work from the jail and Advent was abnormal indicating cancer. Upon returning to jail, he was still complaining of shoulder pain, incontinent of stool, spitting up red to brown mucus now complaining of upper right back pain along with right shoulder pain and complaining of his anterior chest hurting. 11/8/24 his blood work at the jail was abnormal again indicating cancer. 11/15/24 he was given a medical pass for an extra blanket due to anemia, a Pod Officer took his blanket although he had a pass. 11/17/24 Blood Work is again abnormal. 11/19/24 he requested an mri on his right shoulder and Ribs that request was not granted. On 12/12/24 He was taken to the jails infirmary as a signal 46 with chest tightness and right shoulder and back pain. 12/14/24 He was taken to Advent hospital after he told him his lower intestines was cramping and his right arm was numb, While at Advent health being examined in the ER he went into cardiac arrest and had to be resuscitated after being resuscitated a heart catherization was done but no chest xray before moving forward with 3 stents, after surgery a chest xray showed a moderate hypodense area in the posterior right lobe, it was recommended a mri with contrast be done, it was not done, lab results was abnormal. He was discharged back to jail on 12/31/24. 1/1/25-1/3/25 he was incontinent of stool and bladder and stated on 1/3/25 he needed to go to the hospital.
1/7/25 He had abnormal labs indicating cancer
1/10/25 he was taken to Advent health due to increased shortness of breath and was admitted from 1/10/25-1/17/25 where a large mass was found on the right lung involving the 4th 5th and 6th rib.
On 2/13/25 he was taken to his Pulmonary appointment with Dr. Angel Adam's of Ocala Lung and Critical Care, she recommended he go to the ER for a CT guided biopsy. He was admitted on 2/13/25-2/17/25, He refused the biopsy but a CT with contrast was done, it showed a 8cm Carcinoma mass that metastasized to the 4th 5th and 6th rib. On 2/17/25 His nurse contacted me to inform me of his condition and told me he had maybe a month to live. On 2/17/25 He was released back to the county jail on palliative care. On 2/28/25 He was released from jail to a Retirement Ranch in Plant City, The administrator of the Ranch was under the impression my dad could walk and take care of himself, this was not true and he arrived in a wheelchair and was in horrible condition. The administrator had him sent to the hospital where he spent the last 7 days of his life passing on 3/7/25. My father was mentally incompetent and was done wrong by all of these medical professionals. He was also attacked twice by other Inmates while going through all this and the one broke his jaw.

The Dr wouldnt even talk to me about her death( which was not expected). Im devestated, I lost my mother and best friend. This Dr literally gets away murder.
Florida is the only state with this law. We need to get rid of this unethical law
