My family member is doing better. He is in a better facility than before. Knock on wood, we have not had any recent hospital hiccups.

I feel a little dead-ended on getting discharge policies reformed. A nonprofit that briefly considered helping, pulled back. And, I sent a complaint from my point of view to a state agency and have not heard back.

In light of recent news events, I believe that folks who care about healthcare justice may be seeking nonviolent avenues such as petitioning to push for change.

So, I am hoping that you will consider reaching out to your state representatives about enforcing the NY Patients Rights laws and making sure that patients and caregivers receive paperwork upon discharge.

Also, it would be very appreciated if you could share this petition with your networks and/or post on social media this week.
