Briana Boston exercised her first amendment right to express her frustrations with the corrupt practices of a multi-billion dollar industry that profits by exploiting the sick and the poor. She has no firearms and is not a threat - and CERTAINLY not a copycat. This is unjust, and further exposes the true nature of the crooked players that run this country. The working class stands together.
Her bail is over 30,000 dollars more than the average American makes in a year, this is excessive bail over a small threat, when many are denied a case over stalkers, because it’s ’just words’, this is direct hypocrisy. She is a mother of three and it is not reasonable for her to have that high of a bail over words, not a plan, not an attempt, words alone
Truly despicable overreach by the criminal justice system. This woman is not a threat to society— she is a mother of three just trying to do right by her family. We all know that this was not a legitimate threat. It was a few words spoken in a moment of frustration. Was it wise? Perhaps not. But criminal? No. Those that think it should be truly lack any empathy and simply wish to abuse the law to destroy a woman’s life for the sake of silencing the voice of the American public. This could have been any one of us.
This is an oppressive infringement of the first amendment. Her voice was simply an emotional outburst… public protest that they didn’t agree with. She is clearly not an actual threat to anyone’s life. They just want to make a terrible statement to the American people. The truth is stupid stunts like this just make the masses more upset, and THAT is when people lash out violently. People say worse to each other on the internet all the time…Where is justice when it actually leads someone to s*icied? It’s so hypocritical. The person who r*ped my partner as a child runs free and nobody believes him. He was abandoned by the justice system. Serious crimes are constantly IGNORED. So many lives ruined with no result, only prayer to find peace of mind. It shouldn’t be this way. My heart bleeds for him every day, and now for this poor lady. Please help her go home to her family.
Of course she was upset to find out a claim is denied. These claims are something that are usually already terrifying because it suggests very expense , necessary and potentially life altering testing of some sort. When our insurers deny these claims , we do not have any other means to pay for what is actually necessary , urgent matters . I have Blue Cross Blue Shield again after not having them in 20 years and the coverage is deplorable compared to what it was 20 years ago. I'm wondering what I'm paying for along with my employer contribution , we are paying a ridiculous amount for me getting nothing , not even 109% medication coverage - but back to Brianna, the woman hearing a claim , probably for thousands of dollars , is denied , no doubt necessary so BCBS has essentially just informed her we are ruining you and right before Christmas. She is upset and she says exactly what I would have under duress: depose, deny , defend! Ypu people are next
Im having trouble understanding how that statement has been construed as crime. It is not. Health insurance industry is over reacting because they know how unfair their for profit issuance of denials are , they know we're paying per person close to 1,000 a month as workers and not getting anything close to our money's worth and it can only get worse on their business model. They need to mend their evil ways and until they do , expect people you emotionally blindside to say things that bother you.
It is beyond ridiculous that they would jail her for expressing her thoughts when they well know she doesn't pose a real threat. As if all women don't have a firsthand or secondhand story of a stalker/genuinely threatening person that the cops "can't do anything about" because they haven't actually harmed you yet. These systems only exist to protect capital and those who benefit from it—not people like you and me. Don't forget that.
The wealthy and powerful are scared for the first time in a long time, and are taking it out on anyone who even remotely speaks against them right now. This is an unjust punishment brought on by fear and the desire to silence the working class from speaking out in frustration. If she had made the same statement even a few months ago, this company wouldn't have even bat an eye and waved her off. This should be considered an oppressive action taken against someone's freedom of speech. We need to support each other right now, because these companies will not support any of us.
Women are openly and specifically threatened with personal violence, and police say they can do nothing. How does a vague, non-specific threat against a CORPORATION- not a person- get an immediate arrest and 100k bail??
My mom is a cancer survivor and my sister has a chronic childhood illness, so I have heard more about insurance companies and their dealings than the average person and this American citizen did nothing wrong, free my girl!
