STOP insurance companies from using AI for medical decisions. 
Hi, my name is Kate and based on artificial intelligence I would be someone who would be denied care because the data from the cost benefit analysis of keeping me alive is more than AI says they should spend on a patient like me. However, it doesn’t take into account that I am a person with friends and family and other patients I mentor. It doesn’t take into account the amount of research my blood and tissue has provided for doctors to learn from, or the clinical trials of medications never before used. They don’t take into account the beautiful family of friends I have created. My body itself has never stopped giving to science. My insurance approval or denials- for surgeries or medications that help keep me alive- should never be determined by all of the things you can’t take into account from AI. 

United Healthcare did use AI for their decisions and they had the HIGHEST denials ever of more than 30% of claims. Higher than any other companies who didn’t use AI by a large margin.
