This is important - especially in terms of supporting accessibility. However, I do think it is sad that some may use this option because they are afraid to attend a municipal meeting - the fear to participate because of threatening behavior is not freedom. That is terrorism, and it is sad to see it impacting the freedom of a democratic political institution. As a community, we need to stand up to this and assert the right of all citizens to safety as active members in their own communities! I value everyone's right to safely engage in the political process.
I just want to thank Mr. and Mrs. Owen. They saved my life when I was down and out and without them I don't know where I'd be today. I'm proud to sign this petition.
As someone who is disabled, an POC, and female, and has been unfairly denied accommodations too many times, I know too much what a situation like this is like. I believe that even if it’s obvious (you wear braces, walk with a limp, or use a wheelchair), some people just look at you, and the color of your skin and turn you down, thinking you’re “faking” it. It’s disgusting and needs to stop! I would be one that could only attend a percentage of the meetings due to transportation issues (mainly restricted to the bus), not being able to out in certain types of weather, medical condition flares, and other restrictions related to my medical issues.) Unfair accommodations such as this, and retaliation on top of it, are causing us to grow more and more apart. And that’s not how it should be.
As we know, the Break Action Shotgun as a support weapon is constantly overshadowed by much stronger and more effective firearms in the arsenal. As the break action is only able to be found in world, versus its counterparts in which can be called in with a stratagem, its usage is minimal. As it stands, you'd have to search POI's and get lucky on a weapon spawn just to attempt to use the Break Action. The Break Action is more of what feels to be a gimmick opposed to a real weapon. My community has seen the weapon for the potential it has, it brings us joy to find one and attempt to use it, even if the performance is poor. We hope to appeal to Arrowhead Game Studios, in an effort to bring light to this forgotten weapon.
Ideally, the Break Action Shotgun could be moved to the primary section, available to all Helldivers fresh out of the pod. As its combat capabilities are limited by its ammo capacity, a stronger reserve of ammunition would assist with the loss of magazine reloads. Through actively playing with the Break Action, we found with a sense of skill and ability that the firearm preformed with effort. Considering there are still many more viable primary options available for use, it'd be helpful to bring up the penetration to Medium Armor and reduce the effective range by about 10. The higher armor penetration would allow for the Break Action to see more use even in the veteran players higher difficulties, while bringing down the effective range would temper the balance. This rework would help in ensuring that the Helldivers community as a whole, would view the Break Action as an actual option in their primary slot, as opposed to something more of a niche weapon if it were to be added.
I thank you all for reading this, and hope to meet you out fighting for Super Earth!
