As a musician, this has greatly impacted my life. I no longer have the desire to create in fear of my life. Knowing how the higher ups in the industry have treated Tory. In order for me to release this fear and regain my confedence, I need this innocent man to be released from prison. I have lost my faith in the justice system and it's integrity or lack there of.

I've survived the worse life conditions & struggles, with the circumstances of the community i was born into pulling me one way and dead ends waiting at the other. Until one day found Tory "Daystar" Lanez—his music, his story, his resilience. His voice became a beacon, a light in my darkest of moments at the time, reminding me there was more to life than the chaos around me. From then I built a career, found my voice, and turned my pain into purpose—all because his words, humility, & vulnerability sparked something in me. But now, that same voice that lifted me is being silenced by forces that chose headlines over honesty. Governor Newsom, i hope you can find it in your heart to give this another DEEP look; please don’t let injustice win. Daystar 1000% deserves the chance to walk free & keep inspiring/saving lives—just like he did for me

For someone who could impact me so deeply, & be rotting in prison is not what i imagined for Tory "DAYSTAR PETERSON" Lanez. Everything he attributed to me, culture, the world etc wasn’t just sound—it was a lifeline, a reminder that no matter how dark life gets, there’s always hope. Daystar Peterson’s story is now overshadowed by a system that seems to have prioritized headlines over truth. I fear that if justice isn't served effective & efficiently, that I along with the rest of the millions of people that love him will never see Daystar return and/or return the same beautiful soul we knew him as before. Governor Newsom, justice is about fairness, not popularity, facts & not rumors. Please take another look at this case with a heavy heart for the truth & an open mind for possibilities. This country prides itself on being the HOME OF THE FREE, & although some don't deserve that liberty; but with Daystar there's unacknowledged evidence that backs this is not the case.
