Our goal is to curtail the over construction and intrusive height limits in the St. Andrew’s District. The charm and attention should be on our natural beauty and consistently preserving what we have left as well as protecting our waters, and marine life. It must stop. The 3 and the condominium have already gone to far. Time to revisit what made St. Andrews loving and inviting. You’ll be killing the views and it’s already too overbuilt. We have lost TOO much to greed post Hurricane Michael. It needs to go into preserving mode and consideration for us residents who reside in the immediate area. It’s getting entirely too crowded. RESPECT.
Stacey supported: OPPOSE TEN STORY BUILDINGS IN ST ANDREWSThis petition should be seen as a message from the Community to the Panama City Commission. It's message is that we want to see the approval of the new zoning maps developed as a result of community input throughout the Dover-Kohl charette process conducted after Hurricane Michael. Community input that culminated in the insistence for building height limits of four stories in St. Andrews. This limit will not impede development along Bayview, as there currently are no development plans. There is only speculation of the possibility to sell for development by a few owners. When approved, the new zoning map will do what it is meant to do, and that is to offer direction and guidance towards the vision of the entire community. Citizens have invested their time and likely millions of tax dollars entrusting the City to develop goals, regulations and codes that reflect this vision of our future community. Please do not dismiss that investment and put the community in limbo for the next 10 years. Reject this agreement and approve the new zoning maps that correlate with the already approved 2021 Panama City Ordinance 3015.
