Netflix Stories has been an incredibly important part of my life since it launched in 2023. Over the past couple of years, this game has seen me through some of my darkest and most challenging moments—times when I was hospitalized, struggling with debilitating back pain, and barely able to walk or drive. Through it all, this game provided a much-needed escape, allowing me to live vicariously through the characters and immerse myself in stories that offered comfort, excitement, and emotional release. It’s been the highlight of my day more times than I can count. Even when the plotlines got frustrating, I still looked forward to playing because it’s all part of the experience. Canceling Netflix Stories feels like Netflix is once again prioritizing profits over the people who truly engage with and care about the content. Millions of users, myself included, have formed a connection to these stories, and to end them suddenly, especially after teasing new releases, feels deeply disappointing. The talent, writing, and artistry that went into these games deserve more than to be quietly erased. With streaming content becoming increasingly hard to connect with, Netflix Stories offered something different, something special. Please don’t take that away from us.
Netflix stories provides emotionally deep and immersive interactive fiction experiences that has helped me through difficult times by been an enjoyable distraction from negative life events in my current and recent months.
I haven't found another story game so immersive for me since the closing of StoryScapes in 2019. I love how much effort is put into each story, from the ambient music, the animations, and the many outfits! This game really brought me back to my teen years, and really brought me comfort ;v; Please reconsider Netflix, you have garnered many loyal fans who would love to support this game! :(
There are a lot of people that play these games. A large portion of them are female gamers. By removing Netflix stories, you're not just taking away some great games, you are also going to make a dent in the diversity of users on your platform. With everything going on right now, I highly suggest you don't remove things that maintain a sense of inclusivity. Some of us don't care that you're streaming Raw now on Monday nights, some of us are paying your ever increasing prices for your games... that you seem to now be removing.
