I have tried to remain compliant with Ezpass NJ by making sure my account was always funded and paying violations on time. I've had violations through no fault of my own due to transponder problems on my NYezpass acct and when dealing with NJezpass the rep acknowledged it was a problem with NYezpass transponders and they only forgave $500 of $700 worth of toll violations from that same time period. Sometimes their toll plazas don't read, how is it that as an Ezpass customer I can't just pay the damn toll when it's finally charged to my account and have the additional $30-$50 admin fee waived? Because it's a racket and we have no recourse. I hope this lawsuit changes something because this is literally highway robbery!

Had approximately $110 billed to EZ-Pass in Virginia due to an inaccurate license plate recorded in their database. Last four digits did not match to the car to which they were billed, had nothing in common with our other car, and nothing similar to any prior car. EZ-Pass refused to refund the charges and maintained the plate was as originally entered (it wasn't). EZPass reps maintained we must have entered four of the seven characters of our license plate incorrectly... Decided not to take the matter to small claims court due to the small total amount. Would happily join any class action. These people are simply predatory and their policy is absurd.

They continue to raise toll rates and impose congestion charges, making it increasingly difficult for everyday people to afford travel. Instead of offering solutions or relief, it seems like profit is their only priority, with no regard for fairness. Something needs to change ; this system shouldn’t punish those who are simply trying to get by.
Hailey supported: Defund EzPassE-ZPass has been a financial burden on my bank account. They have been taking 2-$300 out of my bank account whenever they feel I have a “low balance” in their eyes. I have no control over the money they take out, and my job involves driving on toll roads constantly. I am already living paycheck to paycheck, and I cannot afford this kind of a financial burden. This has even led to my bank account being closed for too many overdrafts mainly due to E-ZPass and their scummy practices. This company is full of criminals, and they deserve to be brought to justice for unethical business practices.

Let's also talk about the $50 + "service fee" they illegally charge people who mistakenly go through the ez pass lane, instead of the simple toll amount. These neighbors of ours are also being scammed by EZ pass, as they are being sent to collections for $2 tolls because EZ pass then hiked on $50 extra dollars to each ran toll, and amounts to hundreds of dollars people cannot pay back!!
