Sewage should not be dumped into our rivers making the environment unpleasant and dangerous for ourselves and for wildlife. Severn Trent should upgrade their waste water treatment instead.
Allowing sewage effluent to be piped from one river to another to circumvent regulations would set a very dangerous precedent for the whole country.
The Onny river may not be near you, but once a precedent is set, next time there could be sewage piped to your doorstep!
What’s the plan? Destroy the charm of Tunbridge Wells and lower the living standards of everyone who lives there one overcrowded, low-spec, identikit housing estate at a time? Sounds smart. Can we not see what is precious and finite and should be off the table when it’s staring us in the face?
As a horse rider who uses this area on a daily basis it will mean we are gradually losing access to more and more of the forest. With the roads so dangerous these days it makes a pleasant change to not have to worry about speeding drivers
I live near to this proposed facility. There is already another facility within 3 miles of the proposed location which isn’t at capacity. The local waste plan indicates that there is no requirement for this facility. The road infrastructure in the area cannot take the extra traffic, there are constant queues on the main roads and the HGVs often use smaller roads/lanes trying to avoid traffic, causing even more chaos. Local children have to walk on narrow pavements along the main A444 to get to school. The extra lorries will make these journey’s even more dangerous. Then there is the pollution, smells and health risks associated with the incinerator facilities. Our children deserve a healthier life. Also the threat to wildlife is unacceptable and lady but no means least, no matter how they think they can disguise facility, the location and height of it will be seen for miles.
The A444 is absolutely jammed with HGV's already, please no more.
Air pollution, sound pollution and light pollution, please no.
There is an incinerator literally 4 miles away.
Please decline this appeal.
Residents should come 1st in this instance.
Swadlincote and Woodville seem to be an area that gets dumped with too many 'projects' that do not enhance a national forest context. There is already (starting a few months ago) an enormous increase in HGV activity from Woodville to the monstrous depot in Swadlincote. The slaughter house down from clock garage has increased 2 or 3 fold in size and HGV's have already churned up the pot hole repairs on the clock garage island. The scrap yard on Moira road increases noise pollution. The shop on the clock garage island is now 9 bed sits. The constant house building around the area is straining all the utilities and services.Re igniting the old incinerator in Woodville is the last straw. Ordinary citizens can put up with a lot today, but I am re thinking what used to be a fairly reasonable space to live.
I live close by and with the natural wildlife being under threat from this unnecessary development, I feel thus incinerator needs to be rejected. They have already tried several times but obviously do not like to be told No. Access to and from is also impacting the local small roads causing traffic issues, never mind the smell and pollution.
Please save our view! It has been my best memory of Beach days for over 50 years! Don't let it go and not permit my grands the same opportunities of great fun on the beach without "Rift raft" that potentially may "hang out" if this is built. Thank you.
