How incredibly cruel on so many levels. Elephants have been exploited by humans for far too long. They deserve better! We need to step up and be better stewards for these amazing creatures! Be their voice. Stand up for wildlife and give them a good life, free from entertainment, free from separation and free from exploitation. Be the change!

Please send Indu to a certified elephant sanctuary where she can live the rest of her life in peace in the company of other elephants. After making the Phoenix Zoo money as an exhibit for so long, and being an ambassador for elephants to your visitors for so long, it is right and just to give her a retirement among other elephants. We can and must do better by animals that we use for our purposes.
She has lived alone all these years, which is not how elephants live in the wild. Let her live out her life in a sanctuary with others. Be kind to her. She has earned it.
She deserves to live the rest of her life in a Sanctuary. Think of the money that will be saved. To kill her, dismember her body, and then the burial alone is probably going to cost tons. It's probably cheaper to have her placed somewhere safe. But most importantly, she deserves to live the rest of her life in happiness and peace. Give her the chance she never had!!
Confined is not a life for animals and Indu has spent her time. Allow her some measure of freedom and companionship in a sanctuary. DO NOT put her down!!
As a Phoenix valley native who grew up going to this zoo, I am astounded by the cruelty being considered by the zoo in regards to Indu. Please prioritize compassion over convenience and find Indu a sanctuary to live out the remainder of her days
Elephants are wise, beautiful creatures. Like humans, they need connection with others. Please find another home for this elephant, preferably with other elephants to live out the rest of her days. She still has many years. Elephants live a long time, like humans. It is cruel to decide her fate.
Elephants are intelligent, social, loving creatures that deserve at the very least to be sent to a sanctuary. You owe it to this beautiful animal to let her enjoy what is left of its life, safe, happy and to able to roam free at a sanctuary. She gave up enough of her life as something to gawk at in your zoo. Do what is right and let her go.
Please give Indu a decent life for her remaining years. An elephant needs to be with other elephants. Transfer her to the wonderful Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee. Do NOT be cruel.
