My Children had sent my husband and I Airline tickets to travel to see them for the month of Dec, we were gone for the entire month, we turned our thermostat down to 60, turned off all lights, didn’t bother decorating for Christmas since we were going to be gone. No one was in our home and our electric bill went from 428.00 to 648.00 dollars. There is no reasonable way that our electric bill went up over two hundred dollars when the house was empty and when we call Potomac Edison they just give you the run around, it’s time they are stopped this Highway robbery of their customers.
The bill is outrageous! Times are hard enough to be getting a bill that keeps going up $200 each month for the past couple of months. We first moved here in 2020 the bill was $162 … now our last bill was $560. Why? No explanation from the electric company!!!
My bill has gone up by almost 200 dollars but my usage has not changed. When I called to ask about the increase they couldn’t even walk me through my usage or explain the jump in price. It feels like a scam, especially since they cannot provide documentation explaining why/how my bills have increased.
