Property tax increases over the last 5 years have made owning a home unaffordable. Adding a kid on top of that, my hands were forced. Getting rid of fraud and abuse is the only way to lower costs for Minnesotans. Adding money to an affordability issue only creates more unaffordability issues. Something needs to be done.

The Permanent Fund Dividend was created to ensure that every Alaskan shares in the wealth of our natural resources—not to be siphoned off to cover political shortfalls. Meanwhile, schools are closing, community centers are shuttered, and families are struggling to afford heating fuel just to survive the winter. If budgeting a government is hard, try budgeting a household with no safety net. We demand accountability, transparency, and the restoration of the full PFD. It’s time our leaders remembered who they serve.

Taking from the money we have made through tourism and living should not be handled by greedy people that won’t even put the funds towards anything else besides their pockets. Schools need funding police departments need funding construction companies that work for the state need to be able to fix the roads and bridges ect that we use daily it is absolutely devastating to see the decline in our economy when the elites live their best lives. There are children that depend on those funds for school clothes and fees there are parents that are depending on that to help them make ends meet because school just started everyone had to spend 1000$ -5,000 on school supplies. Some families have 10 kids some have 1 the issue is that it needs to go back to where it’s supposed to go or something else needs to happen with whose in charge
