As a resident of Richmond and part of a family that's lived here for decades, I would like to make it known that we do not agree with the decisions this city's leadership has made in regards to the well being of the people in this city. A man may say he values family and good will, but decide to violate our unalienable human rights. We can't ignore harmful actions in favor of empty words. We deserve to be heard. We will defend our rights.

Displacing homeless instead of offering assistance is not a solution, neither is supporting slum lords who's properties aren't fit for animals to live in. Let's work toward solutions instead of punishing them for being poor.

This ain’t something we need in a community close to our schools and playgrounds..furthermore why is it that some socioeconomic demographics seem to be a magnet for such stores and approvals provided vs. others? Has a disparate impact analysis been conducted or is there a blatant disregard for such because of oh I don’t know fewer regulatory hurdles and significant financial advantages at the cost of residents here? Absolutely against this for the health and benefit of our community.
