As a mother with a young daughter just barely older than Cammie and a second child on the way, this is my worst fear. The idea that someone with repeated violations for speeding can kill an innocent little girl with his careless driving and walk away free is absolutely abhorrent. Any person with such little regard for human life does not deserve to live as a part of society where he can continue to endanger lives with his foolish recklessness.
A parent to lose a child, especially in such a violent way is unfathomable. For the person who caused the death to walk away with little to no repercussions is throwing salt on a slug. For the parents to have to go through this legal process 2 years after their child's preventable death is incredulous. When do they get to grieve in peace? When will their child get justice?
When my fiances uncle was killed by a drunk driver going the wrong way on the freeway the system let her go where she continued to drive wrecklessly. Now she's pleading guilty to manipulate her sentencing. We need the justice system to be better and get real justice for victims not pocket favors for friends and families in legal trouble.
This is nothing less than unacceptable. Cammie’s family deserve to be able to sleep at night knowing that her passing was properly addressed and dealt with. Stop letting the bad ones get away while the good ones are left with their lives permanently changed for the worse. Justice needs to be served. Stop hiding Louisville. Stop hiding Ryker. Face the damn consequences of this infuriating behavior.
My heart breaks for this mama I couldn't imagine the pain she's going through Mr Matthews needs to held accountable for his actions on the day sweet cammies lost her life he should never be allowed to potentially put another person in danger because of his distracted driving he should do jail time he deserves to be held accountable
This wasn’t a speeding case-this was reckless driving and it took the life of an innocent toddler. It’s murder. Camberleigh deserves justice. Letting the individual that did this get away with it, sets the example for other drivers, they will see that their actions even if it results in death have no consequences and will continue to be careless.
