Dogs, like all other animals, are sentient beings. They feel pain and fear. They are loyal and show affection. I have had dogs all of my life. I can’t imagine harming a dog in any way. In my opinion, having a dog fighting ring is one of the cruelest, most inhumane things that I can think of besides harming children. Animals were put on earth for humans to care for. Anyone who intentionally harms an innocent animal deserves punishment.

Subjecting these helpless animals, who are just victims of their environment, to sustain painful and deadly injuries for “sport” is nothing short of evil. Please, make an example out of him. Be an advocate for animals. Most of which I am sure will have to be euthanized either for their injuries or behavioral issues they have developed in response to their antagonizing and aggressive environment. They are victims of abuse.

The reality isn't just in seeing what these poor dogs went through. Please know that this will affect them for the rest of their lives. The horror doesn't stop after they are rescued. My sweet boy had clearly gone through hell as evidenced by his appearance upon rescue. After his broken ribs and numerous lacerations had healed, the true extent of the damage to his soul had become apparent, and will probably never fully heal. The day after I adopted my boy, he was coming up to me while I was in the kitchen and I went to give him pets but my phone fell out of my pocket and I tried to catch it - he cowered and ran and hid under the table, trembling in fear as he thought that movement of my hand meant he was going to be hit. As to not make things worse, I went into my room and sobbed, all I could think about was how horrible his first two years of life had been. And the nightmares he had were absolutely heartbreaking to witness as he would wake up startled from one and go and hide and it would take a lot to get him back to where he felt comfortable again. Evil humans had wronged my boy so much more than the visual physical damage; his soul had been shattered, but I vowed to show him that not all humans are evil! Loving my boy has been the hardest, most heartbreaking, but most rewarding thing I have ever done. And even though he has come so far and is the sweetest, most loving dog I have ever had, this abuse needs to STOP. Justice MUST do it's part! Please, before giving your judgment, take into consideration not just the evidence you are witnessing, but take into account the lifelong lasting damage that each of those precious souls will have to endure because a human failed them. Please, I beg of you, don't be just another human that fails them. Thank you for listening.

These animals are not put on this planet so that so called human beings can mistreat them anyway they want. Just think how dogs have served humanity. If they are well fed, looked after, and trained well. They will put themselves out for people and loyalty and unconditional love. Egypt needs to get their act in order. Show mercy, there has to be a better way and humane way to treat these dogs.
