This is one of the most beautiful places in the magic Kingdom, it is a place where the kids can run a little bit safely, it provides so much oxygen, home for so many little animals and birds, it is a treasure, and one of the last areas that Disney himself designed.
We don't need a Car's land, we need this sort of natural treasure. It could be educational about Mark Twain etc, and the rivers of America and the steamboat??
Again, a terrible loss for everybody to tear it down, cover it with concrete, and make cars land of all things.
That does not support the Disney vision, and also isn't even a huge franchise opportunity, build it at Hollywood studios, but please leave the island and the river alone!!!

It’s the most peaceful place in the park and the heart of Frontierland. Disney should be leaning into their nostalgia. They should make Magic Kingdom into a museum piece and restore the old attractions. Leave the new rides to the other parks. People would love the old Magic Kingdom back, but each year it’s destroyed piece by piece. Once it’s gone, Disney is just Universal, and frankly Universal has much better properties to build attractions.

I will never visit again nor will his future family if Rivers of America is destroyed. This is not the Disney I loved or my sons grew up with.

Bob Iger is making a HUGE mistake by removing this beautiful attraction, as Magic Kingdom will be much hotter during the warmest Florida days as nature and water help us stay cool! Many animals will lose their habitats, and Disney will now just be a sad concrete IP hellscape. If Disney removes this attraction, neither I nor my kids will ever go back to Disney World. Not to mention Disney ruined Epcot and took away everything that made it special and unique. And Disney, if you're reading this, please make original 2D hand-drawn animation like you did in the 90s.

It was basically the only time we felt some peace away from the crowds and I hope Disney will save this wonderful space.

I have 4 boys who love Tom Sawyer’s Island because in their words it’s the only place in the park that you can explore and be a kid just like in the old days. It’s the best place in MK to relax and unwind and escape from the crowds for a little bit. The atmosphere and theming of Frontierland will forever be changed for the worse if Disney takes away Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer’s Island. The cars ride sounds fun, but not at the expense of ROA. Please put it in another part of WDW where the theming would make more sense and not destroy such a beautiful part of Magic Kingdom history.

It has always been a great escape from the crowds and we’ve enjoying picking up lunch and taking it over to the island where we could eat in the gazebo and watch the boat go by. We will truly miss this tranquil space.

Gregorio supported: Save Muppet*Vision 3DLeave Muppet Vision 3D alone, there are other options for a Monsters Inc experience, instead convert the rollercoaster to be Monsters Inc, have the track fly through various doors, even going through a snowy landscape before going through the warehouse like in the final scene of the original movie. There’s a lot Disney could do, and tearing down the final work of Jim Henson should never be one of them. As an artist, the Muppets have helped keep hope alive in my heart. The legacy of inspiration across generations, the artistry through puppetry, music, and comedy needs to be preserved. I’ll be honest, this is far from my first strike against Disney, and the only reason I would ever consider stepping foot in that park is to see Jim Henson’s final project, Kermit and the gang.
