This is completely unjust and unethical. Shame on general hospital for doing this to such a dedicated, kind, and wonderful soul. Rose Marcello deserves so much better than this, and so do all the workers who have gone through similar things as her. You would think a hospital of all places would be accommodating to this.
I am a 10 year cancer survivor! I would. It be here had they have not performed a colon resection. I have what’s called lynch syndrome that means I am more prone to cancer than others and my doctor has to fight for scans to be done with my insurance every year. So please reinstate so she can get the care she needs do the right thing!
I have been a nurse for 46 years. I do not feel that the employers truly value their employees, especially ones who have valuable experience. I have known nurses who had to come back to work before they were ready because of the fear of losing their jobs. Where is the compassion!. How can hospitals say they give the best care to their patients when they do not value their employees?
My family has fallen victim to this hell and it costed the mother of my child her life and havent seen my son in 2 years and would love to expose these criminals that are acting as judges
I’m in Ohio and spouses cannot be paid. I have been a caregiver full time for my husband for 5 years and that needs to be changed here as well. I fought the state of Ohio with an attorney and lost. Parents that care for Children are the only paid caregivers here. With so many incompetent nursing staff, he could have died a few times. I will continue to fight to have all caregivers paid. So much needs to change on the medical end of things!! I’m so very sorry this happened and I hope you get to be a voice for change in Florida!
As a Mom of a medically fragile child myself, putting our children’s lives in the hands of nurses who are inexperienced, uneducated, and lying about it, should NEVER be the only option. As parents of children like Tad, we go through intense training to be able to take care of our children. We are highly educated and trained. Nobody knows their child like their parents. Parents should absolutely have the opportunity be paid caregivers, especially since many of us were forced to leave our jobs due to frequent hospitalizations, illnesses, appointments, and lack of competent nursing.
Aaron needs his family to be able to live a full life . Just like Aaron’s family I came to this great country of the USA as an immigrant and now am a citizen. And I believe that the fairness and justice and opportunities in this country have made families like Aaron’s and mine be productive citizens of this country. There are so many that are getting away with crimes and are not being called out or deported but Aaron’s situation is legitimate and does not deserve this. Please reconsider and we can all be proud to say that the United States of America is a country based on fairness , justice and equality for ALL.
Aaron (and all of the Joseph family) is a dear friend of mine- we clicked on the first day we met. He truly brings joy to our community! As someone who works with people who have disabilities, I can say with confidence that these individuals have to work 10x harder than anyone else. Loving families should be able to stay together- please help my family stay together!
