I strongly support this petition because the ongoing construction noise in the neighborhood has become unbearable for the residents. For over 11 years, my friends have lived with constant stress of loud machinery, beeping trucks, and hammering, often starting early in the morning and lasting all day, even on weekends. This isn’t just noise anymore. It’s a form of chronic disruption that has deeply affected their mental health and well-being.
They feel trapped in their own home, unable to rest, focus, or even enjoy a moment of peace. It’s taken a real toll, on their sleep, stress levels, and quality of life. The long-term emotional, psychological and physical impact of living in a construction zone for over a decade cannot be overstated.
This situation is unacceptable, and it’s time for accountability. We are asking for meaningful noise regulation, enforcement of construction schedules, and financial compensation or tax relief for the years of disruption they’ve endured. Residents deserve recognition of the harm done, and real action to restore their right to live in a peaceful environment.
So many are still suffering with LongCovid and after effects of Covid, so many are at risk of getting sick, so many are at risk for developing LongCovid! We need access to Novavax vaccines and we need monoclonal antibodies! Make sure you contact your MPP, the Minister of Health, and your Premier!
I have been suffering with severe long Covid for 3.5 years... it's far too long & there are many others like me. We need help now!!! We needed it yesterday. Please do something for us.
I have had Long COVID for over 5 years. In that 5 years there has been an astonishing lack of knowlege, understanding and treatments from the medical community. We need help now!
I care about this because I was a bedside nurse for 10 years and left the bedside due to unsafe ratios. I am currently a member of CUPE 1750 and stand by the need for safe staffing ratios in Ontario
I am an RN in ICU. It is such an unnecessary burden stressing about budgeting for parking $15 a day (still on a waitlist after almost 2 years in my position) or having to account for extra time to park a distance away JUST TO GO TO WORK!!! I don’t need to cloud my focus that should be on my patients and their families with worries that I may end a long 12 hour shift to discover my car has been towed. I have walked in -30 to avoid asinine parking fees just so I can get to work and take care of my patients. Don’t even get me started on ill patients and their stressed families who may not be working currently and/or now have another thing to worry about on top of their sick loved one. It genuinely sickens me.
