EK council also have to implement wardens/or employ more wardens to book the cars,vans that use footpaths as part of there parking space, we had a incident with our young grandson who has mobility problems who was walking just steps from me right into some idiots wing mirror what a sore face he received, now our grandson was out of his wheelchair for a bit of exercise, & independence, along footpath, this is a disgrace & when I called council no one got back to me regarding this ,maybe the next kid that getss hurt with a wing mirror due to foolish parking someone may just be angry enough to remove or damage the drivers wing mirror as EK council obviously don't have wardens patrolling areas in EK, disgusting a child can't have a few minutes of independence with his splints on to walk freely !!!! So disgusted at EKDC

He was catheterised almost immediately to make him "easier to care" for ie. so he could be neglected for longer. He contracted a UTI and went to hospital where he was left alone so long he fell out of bed trying to get help. He died from the fall. Unforgiveable. Care workers should wear cameras. The police do. No excuses.

Unfortunately there is too much of this behaviour in the profession x
Hannah supported: Stop elderly care abuse and make it law that carers wear body-worn cameras at workI fully support these changes by law as its something I feel strongly about, as my mother was in a well established nursing home B-pa and she had very hot milk thrown on her thigh which caused a big scar, anyhow as I was going to the reception I heard one of the nurses laughing with her colleague saying she wanted hot milk. And that's why I feel so strongly that body cameras should be worn to protect the vulnerable patients.

My mum was a victim but as we had cameras installed it was detected. Unfortunately after a meeting with the CQC the carer in question was reinstated, not the outcome we were expecting. Maybe the CQC needs investigating!!

The situation will only get worse as people live longer and we have more elderly people in society. It is essential that we do all we can to make sure that proper safeguards are in place to protect our mist vulnerable. Putting cameras in care homes or body cams on carers will help reduce abuse and is a step that must be taken.
