I'm coptic orthodox Christian and I would also like to celebrate my Christmas, which is the birth of Christ and my Christmas is celebrated on January 7. My kids don't go to school because they want the respect that our holiday needs.

This issue is very important to us Coptic students and it should be resolved. Why should I miss church because my school does not wish to give me a day off? It’s not fair and this has to be resolved. We don’t have any days off, our holiday should be treated equally and with respect, for this is a very important and a very happy holiday for us Orthodox Christians. Not having days off, leads many students missing important assignments like tests, quizzes, and more. Having days off would be very much appreciated and needed.
