As a person who was forced medication at a mental ward because I was showing signs of trauma. I think we need to truly stop further traumatizing/hurting people in order for them to fit normalcy or to act "right". There's so much nuance in healing. Please allow people to keep their bodily autonomy when they're mentally ill. Otherwise you will traumatize them further. There's no humanity in forcing people to fit into boxes because you don't deem them normal. Please share this so no one has to fear people even more after probably living their whole life in fear, because they've seen how monstrous people can be first hand. Don't let these people get away with hurting people even further than they've already been hurt. It generally takes trauma to bring out mental illness. Let people decide their own care!!!! It's a detriment to our society when people that have never gone through something try to negate people who have. None of us our free until ALL OF US ARE FREE!
As a volunteer with MindFreedom International, I advocate on a daily basis for survivors of forced shock and I've witnessed the trauma and physical impairment that it so often causes!
I was born and raised here. NEVER have I thought of ever leaving my home for a place unknown. Our state was supposed to end added taxes years ago and instead they just keep adding them! The worst yet is the public benefits tax attached to our electric bill. Outrageous is an understatement knowing full well we can’t live without electricity and running water. This man has done nothing to help this state look forward to a brighter future where we all don’t end up on the street.
I have two children on the spectrum and I am terrified that she would be harmed because she is aggressive. Kids who are aggressive on the spectrum tend to be more abused than those who are not .
I am raising a 3 year old grandson who is autistic,he attends 2 schools dayly, he is preverbal, I would love to see cameras to monitor his well being, also in the bathrooms for toddlers!
Many teenagers, like myself, are politically educated and want a say in who rules our country. If the voting age is lowered, it means that younger voices would be heard, it would promote more voting, and possibly encourage more teens to educate themselves politically to prepare. Sixteen year olds should be allowed to vote and stand for what they believe in.
I would like to support this in memory of my best friend’s father. He was always in parades marching as the Foot Guard proudly! In his memory they need to keep going on!
I've had a similar situation like this occur to me under different circumstances and in my case, my school AND town police failed to help and protect me. This pattern of state negligence needs to STOP. She deserves justice and safety.
