My daughter turned 3 on 31st March but didn't start until the school year in mid August, leaving a discrepancy of almost 5 months. My son will be 3 on 22nd September but he won't access funded childcare until the January term. The current system only benefits children whose birthday falls in August and I can't even access private nursery unless I travel, they're all full.

Beach Road has many vulnerable pedestrians eg nursery school kids, local primary school kids and vulnerable adults. Absolute no-brainer to do this.

Closing Charlotte Sharman means uprooting children, disrupting their learning, and losing a vital part of our community. We don’t need this closure—we need support. We need to fight for our children’s education and the future of our community.

I believe the teachers who have dedicated many years to school, have made a major impact on children who have gone here.
