Once again the governor has neglected to care for one of the most vulnerable populations of NY. The change to PPL has been horrific. My caregiver is not going to be paid now due to a very broken system. I appreciate that they will pay retroactively however why should he have to wait. This is not our fault. Governor, fix this or move on and let someone else.

My disabled son is now not receiving services as her choice of FI, PPL, is unavailable to help his PA or me. There is a problem with his authorization even though we started this process months ago and were assured everything was in order. Many of the eldeely will be forced into nursing homes. So many have lost their jobs and medical insurance. What a disaster! Even her fellow Democrats tried to stop this in the courts.

It's been unclear from the beginning with 0 accountability on feedback. We have been transitioned since February, so we thought and are now completely concerned, stressed and overwhelmed being in a pending status for service authorization was was stated it was sent in March 7th 2025. I feel the entire process has been fraudulent and not transparent with no help whatsoever.

This situation shows a lack of compassion by our elected leadership (they are glad to accept the votes from the disABILITY community!!). This is the same Dept. of Health (DOH) that wanted to take the Independence Care System (ICS) away from the disABLED community in 2019. We are dealing with people that feel that they know what's best for us.
Many in the community stand (?) to lose if these people who know what's best for us get their way. I hope to hit them where it hurts, and not give them my vote in the future.
Sure, there may be corruption among SOME of the FIs. To get rid of all these that the disABLED community relies on is cruel and inhumane.
But, the transition to one company is not going according to plan. I can see how this transition is adversely affecting friends of mine. I know what the ultimate destination is for many if the Governor and the DOH get their way. I visited my friend in this destination (NURSING HOMES), and my heart bleeds that my friend is forced to live(?) in a place like this.
But, enough with just complaints. Action and representation speak louder than words. We need to represent. NOTHING ABOUT US WITHOUT US!!

This company came in with the promise of a better and more stable system. When they pitched their proposal to New Yorkers, they claimed they would create 1,200 new jobs.
Instead, their new system forced 600 agencies to shut down. If each agency layoffs just 15 people, that's 9,000 New Yorkers who are now out of work — 9,000 local taxpayers.
Now, instead of hiring locally, they’re bringing in remote workers, many of whom are from out of state — and even overseas.
What a move.
