Antisemitism is one of the oldest forms of hate in this world. Whether it’s for attention or it lives deep within him, his actions and words have real consequences that affect Jewish people everywhere. It threatens our existence. It needs to be stopped.

Each time what goes through your mind is- how could this have happened? How did the world allow this? Mind blowing . And now we see and live this reality !!!! How can this be happening!!!! Between the silence of the people and the sick antisemitic celebrities. As a none Jewish - I now see how throughout history to present the Jewish people have to live and defend themselves. The great importance of having the State of Israel. This is not about sides or political parties - it’s about right from wrong.

This made me distance myself from Judaism for a while. But I realized the problem wasn't my faith—it was the prejudice. I stood back up and continued to fight, embracing my identity with even more strength and resilience.

I had him in numerous classes and he was also my DECA advisor, were I personally was able to achieve great success. I am in college now and wouldn’t typically care for these sorts of things but when I say seeing this DEEPLY frustrated me. Mr. Gudovic has been one of the best things Kaneland has had to offer as he has been one of the only staff that truly puts school as his number one, priortizing his students well being over his own. He is truly one of the only selfless people at Kaneland High School. Not only that but Mr. Gudovic has been one of the most intelligent figures in my life leading me with all sorts of life lessons I will take with me the rest of my life. Things happen with money and sometimes good people have to be cut out of a budget, but the fact that this school is refusing to work things out to keep Mr. Gudovic is unbelievable. Being one of Mr. Gudovic’s closest student’s I witnessed first hand how hard he fought for his students and what he did for this school and the fact their just giving him up is pure disrespect. Quite embarrassing on the school itself that they would even threaten something like this. It was a running joke whenever I brought up Mr. Gudovic to other teachers that, you may not be friends or really know who Mr. Gudovic is, but everyone at that school knows he is doing something. Even between a few of my classmates we had the running joke that Mr. Gudovic ate up nearly 6 teachers salaries with his ability to teach so many classes and thought he should be paid more. This is even bigger then that though as you are taking away a JOB, an INCOME, from an individual that has been nothing short of great for you. Blatant disrespect. You guys are turning on an individual that never said no to you when you needed someone to fill in. He would step up when you needed chaperones for events, he would step up when you would need a score keeper at an after school event event, he even stepped up to be a soccer coach, a assistant wrestling coach, he sponserd MULTIPLE clubs, he was a deca advisor, he was also teaching multiple business classes (AP!), a history class, a child development class, all simultaneously. I can confidently say no other individual at the school could do as much as he could and do a good job as he did, he is the purest individual I have met and always has the interest of not just his students but the school in mind. I would see him miss out of personal matters after school to try and go to a bank to pitch an investment for our club since they refused to give us money for DECA, yet we were seeing more success than others recieving funding. Mr. Gudovic did everything and was always on your side to HELP YOU GUYS! And to see your willing to get rid of him like that is pathetic, embarrassing and disrespectful. Kaneland is an absolute joke and if your apart of the faculty you should be definitely be questioning if they really have you in your best interest if they actually go through with something like this.

His work as a DECA advisor and as an AP microeconomics teacher were a vital part of my senior year. We love u guda!!!

He is the reason why I, along with hundreds of other students actually want to learn and have learned so much thanks to his teaching. The Kaneland district has made many bad decisions, and cutting Gudovic would be one of the worst they can make. Find another way to budget, not cut the teacher that makes our school better.

He actually makes students want to learn. Kaneland firing him would be their biggest mistake and Kaneland has made a lot of mistakes in general. I have a bad feeling for the future of kaneland but keeping gudovic would make the future a little brighter.
