We fill a red bin in a week easily and have already been recycling/burning/separating all wastes as appropriately as possible. We’ve had to resort to asking our neighbours for space in their bins as our single red bin is on the verge of spilling over. Even with a 2nd red bin, we’ll easily fill that by week 2 with the amount of nappies and general waste going into them. Wouldn’t be surprised if we’d be back to asking neighbours for space if we got the 2nd bin.

For many households, especially families, a fortnightly service simply isn’t enough and often leads to overflowing bins, unpleasant odours, and rubbish being stored longer than it should be.
Residents pay significant rates and expect basic waste services to meet community needs. It’s disappointing that common sense seems to have been overlooked on this one.

This fornightly pick up hasn't changed the amount of rubbish going in the red bin.. its just made it so my house and property now has rubbish inside and out.. lets hope this winter winds doesnt blow it across this lovely town! and i cant wait for the summer heat to make the smell and insects unbearable! The crows already have a field day on bin morning!
I recycle cans at the depo, burn cardboard, glass into the purple bin and give majority food scraps to chickens..
Female hygiene products, cat litter, dog poo, foil, glad wrap and the plastics and food covered rubbish that isnt recyclable still FILLS my bin weekly!
