We are not safe to walk down the street without some individuals believing their wants and needs take precedence over our Autonomy.
We need these tools to help defend ourselves. Times have changed and until the criminal justice system changes to make sentences for such assaults more of a deterrent, to make those same abhorrent individuals second guess their actions as they will face real life consequences, sentences that actually match the level of trauma, distress, fear, and unimaginable suffering being assaulted, attacked, raped or abused causes, We need to have such tools. There needs to be ways for us to defend ourselves should we have to.
